Hello, it’s Aisha back at it this week, I want us to have a conversation on what it means to Master The Pivot. Please note…I am still trying to figure things out, and just to admit to not only you but also myself that this has not been easy over these past four months. It has been quite messy. So without any other delay, just jump in….
This week has been hard.
Not in the obvious, everything-is-crashing-down way—but in that quiet, internal monologue of your mind, it can begin to weigh heavily on your spirit.
I’ve been standing in the middle of my pivot, wrestling with doubt, discouragement, and loneliness as I try to move forward with grace and intention.
I’ve felt the frustration of putting things out there—ideas, offerings, prayers—and not seeing them stick like I hoped. It’s like throwing things into the ether and waiting for something to catch… and when it doesn’t, wondering if I misheard, misstepped, or misjudged the timing.
And yet—I’m reminded.
I’m reminded of the things I’ve written before:
Essentials to Finding Balance
Moving From a Scarcity Mindset
Dismantling the Illusion of Control
Words I once poured out for others have circled back to minister to me.
Because the truth is, mastering the pivot isn’t something you do once—it’s something you return to, over and over again, each time life shifts underneath your feet.
What Does It Mean to Pivot?
In 2023, I read an article titled Learning to Pivot: How to Embrace Change, Innovate, and Grow, on LinkedIn by the author Stephen Parkins
“To pivot means being willing to change course when faced with new information or circumstances. It means being open-minded and flexible, able to weather the storms of uncertainty and hopefully come out stronger on the other side.”
That line speaks directly to the tension I’ve been feeling. Pivoting isn’t just about strategy or timing—it’s deeply emotional, spiritual, and raw. It’s about letting go of what you thought should be, to honor what is becoming.
The Human Side of the Pivot
Behind every pivot is a human heart trying to stay steady. There’s grief for what no longer fits, fear about what’s ahead, and hope that somehow, this redirection holds purpose.
Mastering the pivot requires presence.
Not productivity. Not perfection. Just presence.
You have to be willing to:
Pause long enough to listen inwardly before reacting
Wait with intention instead of rushing toward false certainty
Emerge with clarity, grounded in purpose and identity
Because the pivot isn’t the problem—it’s the pathway.
✨ Quote to Carry With You
“The pivot is not a detour—it’s a declaration. It’s the moment you choose to honor who you’re becoming over who you’ve been.” — In-Balanse
If you're feeling stuck in your pivot, know this:
~ The pause is not empty.
~ The waiting is not wasted.
~ There is something sacred forming in you—even if you can’t name it yet.

Listening to this ibwas reminded of this.
Proverbs 31:25-31 NIV. She is clothed with strength and dignity; she can laugh at the days to come. She speaks with wisdom, and faithful instruction is on her tongue.
There is something sacred within you. Keep pivoting. Glad to dance 💃🏿
